ABSTRACT

This afterword focuses on a reflection of what the author learned about himself during the onset and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. While the world was shutting down, Michael was in his photography studio with a client. The moment was similar to the last day of school - except the break would last a lot longer than anticipated. While he thought that because there was sickness and death it would not be the appropriate time to create, it was, in fact, a time for him to bring joy and heal people who were experiencing the traumas of COVID-19. Art is needed the most during a global pandemic, especially when senseless hate crimes are paired with it. So, how does an artist move forward? What type of art should they commit to? How does one start from scratch? The Episode Excerpt is from Episode 2 - The Skivvies: Starting from Scratch.
