ABSTRACT

This chapter is about healthy workflow and work ethic habits. The concept of multitasking is dissected exploring how the idea of switching between tasks is prevalent in a multi-hyphenate’s life. Knowing the difference between delegating and switching is what makes someone fail or succeed. In this chapter, one learns how to gauge which tasks can be easily switched between or what needs to be passed off to a support system like hiring a team of people. Switching between tasks is not bad, but knowing one’s limits is critical. Artists of different disciplines share their insight as to when multitasking is helpful in the multi-hyphenate experience. The Career Connection focuses on the creation of web series. The Episode Excerpt is from Dear Multi-Hyphenate Episode 35, “Multitasking vs. Multi-Hyphenating” with Kimberly Faye Greenberg.
