ABSTRACT

This chapter demands that parents have clarification about their role as a parent and that this does not include the role of a school teacher. Schooling was made compulsory in the 1800s based on a simple premise – experts (teachers) are more able to educate children in school-related topics than most parents can. Friendship groups can become intense social hubs, developing a willingness to share and cooperate. Children learn social norms and can use friendships to challenge the boundaries of social norms. Friendships can lead to greater productivity in tasks and activities. Impact does not necessarily mean the teacher led the child to pass the tests, to gain high achievement. Choosing early childhood settings is to choose the most language-rich setting. They are the experts in motivation, learning, and evaluating schoolwork – appeal to them for advice.
