ABSTRACT
Tim was taken into care at a very early age. His mother was already in the grip of the mental health service and that gave clear entry for intervention. However, the lack of stability that he was to endure prior to a full care order being taken on him at the age of 12 can't have been easy. Essentially he describes his experience of being in care as one of great success. A loving and stable long-term foster placement, the financial backing supplied under current legislation to support his formal education and his own determination to succeed have meant that Tim has thrived and become the man he wanted to be.
