ABSTRACT

The Introduction sets out the main themes and strands of the book. It offers a précis of the chapters to follow and indicates how they are connected. The major narrative cross-theme – metanoia – is also introduced, its significance and the importance of the links between the personal, philosophical, methodological and political within it. The book aims to be an integrated text with particular and overarching thematic strands. The Introduction explains how this is achieved and what to look out for.
