ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the data supporting the fact we are missing more than 3.6 million learners with gifts and talents, with the majority of those being non-White. Using the Eight Universal Truths of Identifying Students for Advanced Academic Interventions as an organizer, the author provides ideas, strategies, and tips from the gifted education world to explicate and exemplify the interventions. It ends by sharing the joys of finding and developing the talents of 2e learners, multiple language learners, underachieving gifted college students, among others.
