ABSTRACT

The chapter explores some of the literature regarding the systemic inequity in the field of gifted education, citing data from recent reports and studies. Stakeholders in the field challenge us to disrupt the status quo and dismantle the injustices by examining the roles that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging play in the context of gifted education and by evaluating access and opportunity. Strategies to accomplish these things are discussed, and successes are joyfully shared.
