ABSTRACT
Chu Tun-ju was a native of Lo-yang (now known as Honan-fu). When the Tartars in 1126 invaded the north and captured Lo-yang, then the Sung Dynasty’s second capital city, he fled to the far south - Kwangsi and Kwangtung - like so many of the literati of the time.
