ABSTRACT
Wang Ch’ing-hui was a female member of the Southern Sung Imperial Palace household staff in Hangchow. She was occupying the position of Superintendent of Ceremonies of the women’s quarters in the palace when the Mongols captured Hangchow in A.D. 1276, and from there she was taken north as a prisoner.
