ABSTRACT

The narrative fleshes out the type of work Yao Lu and Javier are diving into, riddled by their insecurities, linking it to Bion, Allice Miller, Winnicott, and Sullivan, as well as more contemporary clinical (and developmental) theory such as Arietta Slade, Beatrice Beebe and Frank Lachmann, Jessica Benjamin, Bahrick and Watson, and Fonagy and Target. Some systems (communication) theorists such as Paul Watzlawick are also included, laying a foundation in theory for the work of accompaniment.
