ABSTRACT
The working relationship between Yao Lu and Javier is described. Salient aspects of each of their worldviews are presented (and are included in diagrams) to allow the reader to more fully understand their overlapping histories and the mutuality of their dynamics. Readers are taken into the open world where Yao Lu and Javier work together, under the scrutiny of society as her pregnancy progresses. Connections to films of the time and references to non-psychoanalytic theory on gender are included. Yao Lu's pregnancy is developing. She is nearing full-term.
