ABSTRACT
This chapter begins with a case example from recent wildfires in Australia that decimated wildlife, environmental resources, and communities. Strategies to address environmental disaster recovery include environmental restoration, conservation, and protection of animal and plant life. Issues of environmental justice will be incorporated into the chapter to alert recovery managers to the continuing need to protect and preserve environmental resources within and around communities at risk.
