ABSTRACT
This chapter looks at how technology is used in everyday life. Specifically, kids will learn about how the Internet is itself the function of multiple pieces of digital technology and how websites are one of the most common ways that people access it, how Amazon uses technology to be so successful, and how the Apple iPhone uses technology. Digital TV, video streaming, eBooks, digital music, geolocation, social media, computers, printers, 3D printing, self-scan machines, ATMs, digital cameras, cars, alarm clocks, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, facial recognition, artificial intelligence and robotics are other areas of technology that are mentioned in this chapter.
