ABSTRACT

As we conclude this book, we reflect on the fact that in finding your voice in audio and radio production, it was never “lost” to begin with. You have never been speechless. From your first infant cries, you continue to verbally communicate thoughts and feelings. But hopefully this book has enabled you to take the internal voice, the one inside your head, that freely speaks thoughts and opinions without hesitation, and give it a more effective external form. You have worked to discover your outside voice and develop confidence to create material for recording and to be heard by others. Beginning with yourself as an audience of one, this journey through discoverer, developer, deliverer, and decoder should lead you to fresh discoveries of who you are as well as how you may impact others. This chapter contains a final self-assessment exercise to complete the journey of self-discovery that started in Chapter 1. The key stages of R.E.A.L. audio is examined, and the reader is invited to imagine their future goals.
