ABSTRACT

The final chapter sums up the ‘Soviet taxonomy’, which has been outlined in the previous chapters, and presents the overview of the policies, theories, and guidelines which have been affecting the development of the ‘common unsaids’. It discusses the rhetoric mechanisms which have been (and still are) used to present those ‘unsaids’ in the kraevedenie museums and provides an overview of the new alternative approaches to kraevedenie that have been developing on the regional and local levels.
