ABSTRACT

Each of the 13 stakeholder groups highlighted in Chapter 7 is potentially in relationship between and among each other (as explained in Section 5.4 in Chapter 5) around M&A. This chapter constructs stakeholder relationships around balance by understanding these potential webs of interconnected stakeholder relationships as multi-directional, between and among stakeholders involving the balancing of often competing and conflicting stakeholder interests. Such relationships exist and vary before, during, and/or after M&A. A template to examine the balance of stakeholder relationships is presented.
