ABSTRACT

This chapter conveys the main conclusions of the book. First, it evidences the prevalent position that issues of nationality enjoy in our contemporary societies. Second, the text summarizes the main conclusions of the previous chapters and establishes some meaningful comparisons between the cases of Britain and China. The final section is devoted to analyzing the implications that this book has for nationalism studies. In this regard, it exposes how the idea of a nationalist worldview based on the imbricated combination of eight core narrative assumptions may help solve some of the most crucial questions that had traditionally haunted the field.
