By using the principles of strategic sourcing in day-to-day acquisitions, rethinking long-held practices, and collaborating with clients and suppliers, procurement professionals can optimize procurement processes to create innovative solutions, help solve past contracting issues, and provide value beyond price for their entities. By viewing procurement holistically and engaging in ongoing process improvement, procurement professionals can have a significant impact in generating value in support of entity goals.
