ABSTRACT

Net worth can be defined as, ‘the value of all the non-financial and financial assets owned by an individual or institution minus the value of all its outstanding liabilities.’ In layman's terms, net worth is simply the net value leaders bring to the organization and its stakeholders. In many thought leadership circles, particularly healthcare, the basis of value is service, cost and quality. Leadership is synonymous with influence and managing relationships. Effective leaders are those who simply get the job done. The ‘job’ depends on the organization, industry, level and scope of organizational services. If change is the new norm and produces risk as its byproduct, organizations must assess the level of risk each leader contributes to the operation. Once the enterprise assesses each attribute for each leader, the risk tool provides the risk score. Goals are, ‘the end toward which effort is directed.’ In layman's terms, goals are the desired end that leaders intend to achieve.
