ABSTRACT

The goal of a training regimen in general is to prepare someone to regularly perform anticipated tasks with competence and skill. Given the increasing rapidity with which new technologies are being brought into education and the workplace, it is appropriate to examine how educational technology professionals are being trained. Facilitation strategies include setting clear expectations, allowing informal discussions to proceed when relevant, posing good questions, maintaining eye contact, and so on. Flipping the classroom also can promote inclusive, differentiated, and personalized instruction not really possible in a traditional classroom. Teachers require new competencies for a variety of reasons, including having to make effective use of new technologies.
