ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the way women comedians Amy Schumer, Roseanne Barr, and Kathy Griffin have worked as political activists through their performances in television comedy, and their content on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. This chapter also explains how they received significant reactions from participatory audiences online, insighted by President Donald Trump, and how the backlashes against them have ultimately enhanced their reputations as survivors.
