ABSTRACT
This chapter focusses on cooperative governance. It explores the historical evolution of corporate governance and the historical evolution of cooperative governance. It discusses six cooperative governance structures used depending on the cooperatives’ size and complexity. It analyses nine key cooperative governance risks that need to be identified, measured, and mitigated. A definition of cooperative governance and good practice in cooperative governance concludes this chapter.
