ABSTRACT
From the moment Heraclitus and ancient Greek philosophy at large presented logos (read: language) as the measure, law and fate of all things, the linguistic tradition of Western philosophy began to take shape through the rhetorical arts of the Sophists and Plato’s theory of Ideas, all of which marks the source of determinate form in Hegel’s dialectic.
