ABSTRACT

This chapter explores dialogues in art and philosophy and its implications for both the methods of philosophy as well as for epistemic justice. It reflects on the theoretical work of Kimmerle on the relation between art and philosophy and on his practise of dialogues with visual artists: Friederike Kimmerle, Georg le Roy and Nasrin Tabatabai. It also discusses my own dialogues as a philosopher with performance artists and activists from different cultural backgrounds, Patricia Kaersenhout, Eva Kijlstra and Dorit Weintal, and explores what these teach us about skills that could enhance the process of epistemic justice.
