ABSTRACT

This chapter recounts Professor Subedi’s life in Oxford in the early 1990s and how his experience in this city of spires enabled him to launch a successful career in academia and the legal profession. It sheds light on his life of a doctoral scholar at the University of Oxford with a family of four and how he juggled his numerous responsibilities and activities during that time. It also covers his experience of returning to Oxford many years later as a visiting professor and of receiving the University of Oxford’s highest accolade – the Doctor of Civil Law – in 2019.
