ABSTRACT

This chapter summarises what in previous chapters was presented and illustrated about the systemic practitioner's actions. The following interventions are discussed: relational listening, circular questioning, focusing on resilience, eliciting positive exceptions, contextualising, reframing, slowing down and amplifying, externalising and de-blaming, visualising, non-verbal interventions and using feedback.

When systemic concepts, hypotheses and methods are applied, clients are offered alternative perspectives that encourage relational and meaningful sense making, repair and change.
