ABSTRACT

This Part focuses on practical strategies that early years practitioners, teachers, support assistants and senior leaders can implement within the context of their schools to include children with a range of needs. The aim is to ensure that education staff feel empowered to think of a range of ways to support children being included and thriving within the early years and school environment. Whilst reading this Part, it is important to recognise that the aim of this guide is not a list of things to ‘do’ to the child but to have a collaborative discussion with the child and their families.
