ABSTRACT
This chapter is practically based; it asks students to carry out the task of taking notes like an anthropologist. This chapter is an extension of the exercises and examples the students encountered in Chapter 2, supported by examples produced by anthropology students who have recently carried them out. The chapter adds some further key techniques for thinking about and making fieldnotes.
