ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on developing a sense of agency in order to become civically engaged. We focus on the importance of agency and civic engagement for children and adolescents. In the highlighted lesson, students learn what agency is and how others have used their agency. Finally, they identify their own agency and create action plans of how they can work for change in their communities.
