Corporate, Training, and Educational Videos. This chapter examines the writing techniques that are used in corporate, training, and educational videos. Approaching each format separately, the chapter explains the benefits of in-house production studios for businesses, notably lower production costs, reduced turnaround time, and enhanced creative input. The workflow of video briefs is introduced, focusing on purpose, desired action from the audience, who is the audience, what value is brought to the audience, and what distribution channel will be used. The use of two-column scripts is examined. Training videos are then demonstrated with formatting for their introduction, body, and conclusion. The chapter ends with a discussion of educational videos and their potential audiences.
