Iqbal's and Nursi's Methodologies in the Context of Their Global and Local Histories

This chapter examines Iqbal and Nursi in their historical contexts amid other modernists and critically examines the socio-political, cultural and intellectual environments to which they belonged and how this shaped their thoughts and methodologies. This will be closely examined to highlight the influences in their thoughts, particularly in relation to modernism, rationalism, Pan-Islamism and nationalism, and the genre and mode of their writings.
