ABSTRACT

This chapter focusses on the production of social media content. Though this can often be an expensive process, it does not have to be. By providing production tips for the major social platforms on which a publisher might want to engage, this guide indicates what works best for which budget, on what platform, and in what format. Following on from the platform production tips, we focus on available tools for helping publishers create high-value content, including those that the platforms provide, and other third-party services to ensure that the content a publisher is sharing on their social platforms works for individual platforms and the audiences that use them.
