ABSTRACT

This chapter provides guidance for undergraduate students on how to approach learning and assessment at university. Information on learning diversity and strategies to endorse effective learning is presented. Critical thinking and the employment of critical thinking in academic writing is described, discussed and explained. Students are provided with step-by-step instructions to approach assessment that are clear and helpful. Guidance is provided on the different types of feedback and how to best utilise it to inform future work. Finally, a section on study management which prioritises planning, preparation, self-care and reflection is presented. This final chapter is a practical offering that supports the reader in managing learning and assessment in the university environment.
