ABSTRACT
This chapter explores identity from the theoretical perspective of the non-essential self – the discursive subject of poststructuralism; the power-enveloped multiple identities of intersectionality, and the ‘Other’ of existential feminism. In doing so, it engages in theoretical discussion on the politics of belonging.
