ABSTRACT

Raising gifted children is a difficult job. Often, the authors feel overwhelmed because of the intensity we are confronted with every day and their guilt when they are unsuccessful in their dealings with their children. At those times, it is essential to remember that this is a hard job. The strategies and tips they’ve provided throughout the book will help. As the readers read them, they may be thinking that they sound “too easy” to have any positive impact. Don’t be fooled by their apparent ease of understanding. Mastering the strategies presented throughout the book takes time. Even with perfect execution of the coaching techniques and behavior strategies, your child will still be intense. They will still struggle with behavior regulation. They will still frustrate or worry you.
