ABSTRACT

T’ai Chi Ch’uan was originally divided into three sections, corresponding to the three primal powers—heaven, earth, and man—into which each hexagram of the I Ching is divided. Here, however, I have arranged the T’ai Chi movements in two sections. The first section, containing few forms, is light like heaven. The second section, which has more forms, combines earth and man—the two primal powers that stand under heaven.
