ABSTRACT

New Code Academy was launched during a moment in educational history where schools were figuring out how to navigate education day-by-day. Beliefs about what was possible in education and what young students are capable of were challenged and transformed. In this chapter, we will provide a summary of recommendations to others in the online elementary field based on previous chapters, share what is next for New Code Academy, and preview changes and adaptations we intend to make at the policy and instructional level based on lessons learned.
