ABSTRACT

Students who are not auditory learners will not be motivated in a class that relies on lectures, as its primary pedagogy, despite the fact that many students enjoy experiential music or art activities, as long as they are not evaluated on their artistic performance. Therefore, a teacher can capture the attention of many more of his/her students with a well-designed lesson that uses art or music as the vehicle for addressing local, state, or federal standards.

There are seven sample activities in this chapter.
