ABSTRACT
Many teachers avoid focusing on social-emotional learning activities (SEL) because they believe they do not have sufficient time to cover the content in their required curriculum. They view SEL as an add-on. In this chapter are many examples of how a teacher can utilize SEL strategies as part of activities that address standards and standardized test preparation.
