ABSTRACT

First and foremost, the reason why China is recalling Confucius is China’s soul problem. China has an extremely serious problem of its sense of guilt and sense of shame. There were lot many similarities between China’s first Emperor, Shih Huangdi and China’s last emperor, Mao Zedong. China’s decision to organize Olympics in 2008 was one such big step. In matters of economic policies and programme, China, in the last three decades or so – beginning from 1978 – has really moved in to the real middle. In the field of foreign policy, which is highly ambivalent and fast shifting, even, there is some kind of middle. China’s lack of information and knowledge on account of its lack of English language is fast becoming a thing of the past. The Chinese bourgeoise is the creation of the Communist Party of China. It is flourishing under the patronage of the Chinese state. In other words, it is state sponsored capitalism.
