ABSTRACT

The new coronavirus has caused an unprecedented crisis worldwide. Exceptional measures have been taken to stop its expansion, and research has been accelerated to determine how it behaves, relatedly, to find effective strategies to combat. Crowdsourcing has enabled the spread of useful information through the collaborative translation of protocols of action against coronavirus. Special mention should be made of the platforms that have been used in this context. Specific websites, applications have been developed for Frena La Curva and the COVID Symptom Study. Since crowdsourcing takes place over the Internet, the digital divide can negatively affect the subsets of the population that do have the capacity to operate in this environment. The lessons gleaned herein regarding the fight against coronavirus through crowdsourcing can be applied in future projects. In particular, lessons regarding how they have taken advantage of different factors that act in their favor, how they have solved issues that worked against them will be useful in the future.
