ABSTRACT
This chapter is an explanation and exploration of language learning in the brain – specifically, how the brain acquires language through the senses. It describes evidence from neuroscience to support the explanations. It also addresses how growth mindset and Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time Bound (SMART) goals support students in second language acquisition.
