ABSTRACT

This chapter explores a comprehensive discussion about Mobile (M)-learning as a mode of teaching and learning. Presently the mobile-based teaching-learning approach is one of the unprecedented learning approaches in the context of teaching and instruction. Wireless network is communication technology used for global networks of internet and intranet. The learner is a central factor because all the other factors, strategies, methods, etc. only focus on the development of the learner. In mobile learning scenarios, every development in the context of a pedagogical approach is built to meet the interest and experience of the learner. The role of a teacher is ever-changing. At the time of the television and media revolution, the role of the teacher was mainly to promote domain-based expert-level knowledge to the student. One of the major challenges related to mobile learning is ambiguous policies and pedagogical support in the context of widespread implementation of the mobile learning environment.
