ABSTRACT

Every person is unique and has different needs and learning styles. This chapter discusses a pivotal innovation in the field of teaching and learning called “instructional design”. Instructional design is not a new concept in the context of the modern education system. Therefore, before discussing what instructional design is and how it functions, it is imperative to know about the basic functions related to instructional design. It is important to know about the various strategies applicable to effective instructional design. The fundamental aspect of sequencing and structuring is to ensure whether the learning objective is met. In any instructional design the delivery strategies denote the transfer process of learning objects to the learner. Generally, the model of any design represents a prototype of an object in a structural way. In the stage of analysis, an instructional designer needs to identify the obvious goal of a specific instruction.
