ABSTRACT

The system is a combination of the whole, which means various parts of a system work together to carry out a specific task. This chapter discusses system and the system approach and its application in education. The earliest concept of the “system approach” took place during the time of World War II, when society was going forward toward industrialization, man-machine mechanisms, and management. The term “system approach” is generally used in education as an approach to managing, strategic orientation, control, and enhancing the overall process and outcome of education as well as the environment. A flow diagram depicts the parameter for instructional system. The systems approach is generally a strategic process of planning, decision-making, and problem-solving in the context of optimizing the functional aspect of a system. Instruction is a very crucial aspect of any educational system. The term “development” may be used metaphysically in a positive as well as in a negative connotation.
