ABSTRACT

This chapter firstly offers the reader a distinction between the main types of didactic dubbing and didactic voice-over, differentiating between intralingual, interlingual and creative revoicing. Then, it concentrates on justifying communicative skills enhancement through didactic dubbing (DD) and didactic voice-over (DVO), especially in terms of audiovisual reception and production, as well as mediation skills. Next, guidelines for practitioners and researchers on the possibilities to implement DD and DVO are described in detail (including assessment rubrics), and sample lesson plans are offered with extra material and resources to be adapted or reformulated according to diverse educational needs.
