Conversation with Caroline Simonds, street theater artist, clown for Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit, and eventually founder of French hospital clowning organization Le Rire Médecin. Discussion of the origins of the organization, fundraising, administrative structure, and methods and techniques of clowning in the hospital, as well as training and a philosophy of the clown doctor.
