ABSTRACT
This chapter concludes the examination of capital. The chapter reemphasizes the important role capital plays in resilient organizations. The chapter returns to the retail pet store from Chapter 6 as it struggles to deal with a combination of COVID-19 and significant changes to state legislation. The narrative shows again that resilient organizations consistently look ahead for ways to improve and evolve. The case study offers an opportunity to imagine how the business might leverage crews, a culture of experimentation, and exponential leadership to address new challenges, with an emphasis on capital. Resilient organizations are always thinking about the future and the complexities they may present; such organizations face the future head on and do not shy away from the unknown.
