ABSTRACT

In this final chapter, we use the Research for the Common Good Framework to illustrate ways in which researchers can make decisions addressing all five decision areas. We also discuss how conducting research in classrooms, especially research that prioritizes partnerships and partner outcomes, can be challenging given traditional academic expectations and practices. Our goal in this chapter is to make a closing argument for the book's main proposition – that we should critically examine how our classroom research projects contribute to the common good and this shift can be made successfully following the lead of researchers who are already moving toward more partner-centered collaborations.
