ABSTRACT
This chapter offers a discussion concerning ‘historical past’, aiming to distinguish it from the ‘practical past’, based on the works of M. Oakeshott. Some other notions, such as ‘historical fact’, ‘historical truth’, and ‘historical reality’, are also characterized.
